Kesha Bruce was born in Pella, Iowa in 1975. She studied painting, printmaking, and
photography at the University of Iowa from 1993-1997, where she received a BFA in painting.
She later completed her MFA in Painting at Hunter College in New York in 2001.

EXHIBITIONS
In 2004 she was awarded a New York State
Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Painting and in
2005 received a Puffin Foundation Emerging Artists
Grant for her Artist book project “This House.”
In addition to her studio work in painting and
photography, she has also been invited to speak on
Art and Activism for the Geneva New York Human
Rights Commission, and as a visiting artist at Hobart
and William Smith Colleges.
She currently lives and works in the US and France.
